Four spaces, one Studio

There is no single way to grow as an educator. So the Studio doesn't offer just one room.

Each Micro-Studio is one way of practicing Notice · Revisit · Chronicle · Design: in your classroom, in your creative work, in your documentation and in the spaces children learn in. All four are included in your membership.

Four spaces, one Studio

There is no single way to grow as an educator. So the Studio doesn't offer just one room.

Pedagogy, creativity, documentation, and environment design- four dedicated spaces, all included in your mentorship program. Attend the ones that call to you, any month, at the time that works for your life.

Four dedicated spaces. All included. Come to the ones that call to you.

Rather than meeting all at once, the Micro-Studios alternate throughout the month. Every Studio is included in your mentorship program, giving you the flexibility to join the conversations that resonate most with your current questions, interests, and availability.

Micro Studio 1:

Parallel Journeys, Co-Construction & Revisiting Journeys

Pedagogy · Theory · Authentic connection

An ongoing research community where you co-construct alongside Miriam and Jessie. Together, we work through the heart of the framework: what you notice, what you revisit, and how you respond. Many educators are never shown how to respond to what they observe. Here, you practice it, with your own classroom in view.

Learning is co-constructed here, through relationships and shared experience. You leave each gathering thinking more deeply than when you arrived.

Micro Studio 1:

Parallel Journeys, Co Construction & Revisiting Journeys

Pedagogy · Theory · Authentic connection

An ongoing research community where educators engage in their own learning journeys alongside children's journeys. Together, you revisit, rethink, and deepen your understanding through collaborative inquiry, research, reflection, and dialogue.

Micro Studio 2: Creativity Micro-Studio

Voice · Imagination · Collective creativity

Many educators don't feel creative, so they turn to ready-made crafts. Here, you reconnect with your own creativity through demonstrations of real processes, such as working with clay and exploring loose parts, led by Miriam and visiting artists. Then you take those processes into your classroom, as open invitations for children's own ideas.

Creativity becomes part of your practice again. Not something you fit in when there is time. Something that lives inside the practice itself.

Micro Studio 2: Creativity Micro-Studio

Voice · Imagination · Collective creativity

Reconnect with your own imagination and creative voice. Through artistic exploration, storytelling, material investigations, and reflective dialogue, you are invited to engage in meaningful creative work — alongside visiting artists and creative practitioners.

Micro Studio 3: Chronicles and Inquiry Micro-Studio

Meaning-making · Pedagogical reflection

Bring your documentation here. Documentation is often confused with assessment. In this Studio, we focus on children's thinking instead: their words, actions and theories. Children become co-owners of their Chronicles, and you work with Miriam and Jessie on your own documentation to move each Chronicle forward and decide what comes next.

Documentation becomes more than a record of learning. It becomes a tool for listening, interpretation, and genuine inquiry. You leave with greater clarity about what children are actually telling you.

Micro Studio 3: Chronicles and Inquiry Micro-Studio

Meaning-making · Pedagogical reflection

Bring your documentation here. Together, we slow down and look more carefully at children's words, actions, and theories — not to assess them, but to understand them.

Micro Studio 4: Environment Design Micro-Studio

Learning environments · Space as teacher · Aesthetic inquiry

Design is not arranging furniture or making a room look beautiful. It is an ongoing process in which children and educators investigate, shape, evaluate and transform the conditions for learning together. We work through the six moves of DESIGN: Discover, Examine, Shape, Investigate, Generate and Negotiate, across the physical, temporal and pedagogical dimensions of your environment.

Send photographs of your space ahead of time, and we'll think about it together. Your environment becomes an active participant in learning, and a reflection of the values and curiosity you bring to your practice.

THURSDAY · WEEK 4 · 3:00 PM PT · 60 MIN · ONCE PER MONTH

Micro Studio 4: Environment Design Micro-Studio

Learning environments · Space as teacher · Aesthetic inquiry

Explore how spaces, materials, aesthetics, and relationships influence what children can discover and imagine. Together, we reimagine learning environments as living, responsive ecosystems — not static classrooms.

This work is about understanding the environment as an active participant in learning — and as a reflection of the values and curiosity you bring to your practice.

You don't have to pick just one.

Your Studio mentorship includes every Micro-Studio. There are no add-ons or separate memberships—because meaningful professional learning doesn't happen in isolated categories. Come to the Studios that meet you where you are and support the questions you're living with this month.

All four are included. The Studio opens January 2027.

“Every time you return to your practice, you see more than you did before.”
